Our main contribution to Euroclear’s strategic objective ‘to be a trusted FMI’ lies in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, through the operation of effective 3 Lines against C&E risks.

The role of the Assurance team is to conduct independent testing to provide reasonable assurance and insight on the adequacy and effectiveness of the framework governance, management awareness, and operational controls put in place to address compliance, anti-fraud and conduct/culture risks. Our work provides comfort to Management, the Board and Regulators so that C&E risks are adequately managed.

Role:

As a member of the Assurance team in the Compliance & Ethics Division, you will actively support the further development and execution of a robust, risk-based monitoring and testing program across various compliance domains (e.g. AML & sanctions, market abuse, conflicts of interest, etc.) and business areas, potentially across various locations of the Euroclear group.

Your objectives are:

• You lead the Testing missions on areas assigned to you. This includes the identification of business objectives, risks and testing of controls in place across various business areas in Euroclear Group for specific compliance & ethics risks and business processes. You conduct these reviews in line with the Compliance Assurance testing methodology.
• You report the outcome of the monitoring & testing missions, including key recommendations, to business owners, senior governance bodies;
• You manage relationships and establish proactive interactions with stakeholders in 1st line and control functions.
• As part of our continuous improvement, you propose ideas or contribute in maintaining and further enhancing our framework, tools and databases.

Requisiti :

Technical skills

You have:

• A University or similar degree in a relevant field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in audit, compliance monitoring and testing or control function (1st or 2nd line).
• An understanding of financial markets is an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
• A professional certification in Compliance, Risk Management or Audit is a plus.
